"Liberty's
Light" by Paul McGehee. A sunset view across New York Bay of The Statue
of Liberty as viewed from Governors Island. Designed by Frederic
Auguste Bartholdi as the statue "Liberty Enlightening the World", she
was shipped in sections over the Atlantic and assembled on Bedloe's
Island (now called Liberty Island) to be finally dedicated on October
28, 1886. She is a symbol of freedom; a gift to the United States from
the people of France.
"Liberty's Light" is faithfully reproduced as an
archival-quality print from McGehee's original color pencil and acrylic
artwork, in a limited edition of only 2,000 pieces each hand-signed by
the artist.
